Text Structures Anchor Chart

Text Structure Anchor Chart

Here is a little anchor chart about text structures that you can download for free from this post.  It includes definitions and an example for each of five text structures:

  • Chronological Order
  • Cause and Effect
  • Problem and Solution
  • Compare and Contrast
  • Description

The chart is a one-page size that might come in handy for a spare corner of the room, or for a wall near students who would benefit from having a nearby reminder of just what each structure is or an example of each structure.  It could also be useful as a note page for students’ language arts or reading notebooks.

You can download it here:  Text Structures Anchor Chart.
